You send the invite from the app. The person you invite can accept it, choose the restaurant and have the table booked, straight from their browser, without an account.

If you send the invite
- 1 Create the invite in the app
Choose the times you are happy to meet and what you meet for, for example lunch or coffee.
- 2 Pick the restaurant, or leave it open
Choose a restaurant yourself and turn on direct booking, and the table is booked in your name. Or let the person you invite choose the place.
- 3 Send the invite or share the link
Send it from the app or share the link in any chat or email. The person you invite does not need the app.
If you receive the invite
- 1 Open the link
The invitation opens in any browser. No app, no sign-up. Tap "Yes, Let's Meet".
- 2 Pick a time
You see only the windows the host offers, never the contents of their calendar. Choose a day, drag the slot to the time that suits you and select it.
- 3 Choose the restaurant
If the host left the place open, search for a restaurant. Places the agent can call are marked "Direct booking available".
- 4 Turn on direct booking
Add your mobile number and agree to the privacy policy. Circleup calls the restaurant and books the table in your name.
- 5 Confirm the meeting
Enter your name and email to receive the calendar invitation. Time, place and table are settled in one step.

The one who picks the restaurant
The table is booked in the name of whoever chooses the restaurant and turns on direct booking. That can be the inviter in the app or the invitee on the web.
A phone number is required
Restaurants need a number for every reservation so they can reach the guest with questions or follow-ups. Without one, Circleup cannot book the table.
Shared with the restaurant only
Name and phone number are passed to the restaurant for the booking, and to no one else. They are never used for marketing.
Direct booking is in beta: it can make and cancel bookings; for changes or rescheduling, contact the restaurant. A reservation is secured once the restaurant accepts it, and the restaurant's own policies apply. Details in our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
The last step is usually the one that stalls
Agreeing on a time is only half of organising a lunch. Someone still has to find a restaurant, call during opening hours and confirm the table. That task tends to land on whoever sent the invite, or falls through altogether.
With Circleup, the time, the place and the reservation are handled in one flow. Because the person you invite no longer needs the app, you can invite anyone, a new client, a candidate or a colleague from another company, and the table still gets booked.

What is Circleup's AI restaurant booking agent?
It is an AI agent that phones the restaurant and books a table for your meeting. The time is agreed in the Circleup invite, one of you picks the restaurant, and Circleup makes the call. No phone calls, booking forms or waiting on hold.
Do I need the Circleup app to use it?
The person who sends the invitation needs the Circleup app. The person who receives it does not: they can accept, choose a time, pick a restaurant and use the AI booking agent in their browser, without downloading the app or creating an account.
In whose name is the table booked?
In the name of whoever chooses the restaurant and turns on direct booking. If the inviter picks the restaurant in the app, it is booked in the inviter's name. If the invitee picks it from the invite link, it is booked in the invitee's name.
Why do I need to give my mobile number?
Restaurants need a phone number for every reservation, so they can reach the guest with questions or follow-ups about the booking. Without it, Circleup cannot book the table.
Who receives my name and phone number?
Only the restaurant, and only for the booking. They are not passed on to anyone else and are not used for marketing. The call itself is placed through a voice-AI service provider that works on Circleup's behalf.
Which restaurants can Circleup book?
Restaurants marked "Direct booking available" when you search for a place to meet. The feature is live in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
Direct booking is a beta feature. It can make bookings and cancel them. For changes or rescheduling, please contact the restaurant directly.
Is the table guaranteed?
A reservation is secured once the restaurant accepts it. Restaurants can decline or be fully booked, and their own policies, for example on cancellations or no-shows, apply. See our Terms & Conditions.
